It is possible to lighten hair without bleaching, however it depends on many factors; for natural hair they can be of type: this means that if you want a light, progressive or even natural lightening, you can use elements such as chamomile, plants, infusions or natural juices, mud and pigments, henna or even the micropeeling.
On the other hand, if you want a more forceful and effective clarification, it is recommended to use dyes, in which case you must take into account the following: the base hair color. Because our hair has natural pigments, whether granular or diffuse, that reflect reddish, orange, violet, or golden colors when mixed with any dye, they can affect the resulting color. The hair porosity, the time of exposure to the product and the level of grayness are other factors on which the lightening process depends.
For permanent dyes that contain ammonia, it is important to highlight that the developer plays a preponderant role in the process:
- 10 Volume Developers: They can lighten from medium to one tone, they are ideal for mixing with dark tones or for flashing color.
- 20 Volume Developers: They allow one to two shades to be lightened, they are ideal for mixing with medium shades and provide greater coverage of gray hair.
- 30 Volume Developers: They allow lightening from two to three tones, they are ideal for use with light and extra light tones.
- 40 Volume Developers: They allow high lightening and discoloration and are ideal when there is very thick and pigmented hair.
For dyed hair, prior bleaching is necessary to achieve the desired tone.
