# What are the permanent tints characteristics?

Permanent colorations have the following characteristics:

1\. They can lighten from one to three shades.  
2\. They usually contain ammonia.  
3\. Its pigments penetrate deep into the cortex of the hair.  
4\. They modify the natural pigments changing the color.  
5\. Does not fall off with washing.  
6\. Leave root effect and finally cover 100% of gray hair!
